If your writing skills aren’t where you would like them to be Champion Reading can help you improve your writing skills in a convenient and economical way. If you cannot write we can teach you.
We can teach you how to write a good concise essay for your SAT and ACT tests, as well as the application essays.
We help with researching which schools require certain types of essays.
For the application essays, we first send you a questionnaire to complete in order to find out what is unique about you. We then work with you to craft the very best essays and help you find your voice so that you have a better chance to stand out above all other applicants.
After your initial two hour session with Mrs. Kelley, most of your communication will be via email.
We also help with your resume and intern applications.
Mrs. Kelley is available at both the Tomball and Kingwood locations.

Marjury seeks to live her life in a way that exemplifies the sentiment behind the mantra "It is better to give than to receive."
She began teaching in 1995 in Navasota, Texas, as a bilingual elementary teacher. Being involved with education had a profound positive impact on her life, and brought her to the realization that assisting in the education of others is something about which she is very passionate.
After moving to Houston, she held a position at United Parcel Service (UPS) as an Account Executive for 14 years. The heavy involvement with the community during this position showed her how much she enjoys working in positions that allow her to engage with her community.
She received additional experience in business when she owned and managed two different companies, a medical billing company as well as assisting in the operations of her husband's surgical assistants group of 12 physicians in the Northwest Houston Area.
She is the mother of two boys, and providing an excellent educational background for them has always been paramount. After witnessing the effectiveness of how the Champion Reading system taught her youngest son such valuable skills in a way he hadn't seen before, she knew she needed to share the tools with other students by opening up her own Champion Reading location.
She is excited to make a difference in the lives of so many students and also to be able to offer bilingual tutoring for Spanish-speaking students. Her passion for empowering junior high and high school students, as well as adults who are looking to improve their ability to learn things faster, leaves her with a sense of fulfillment that touches her soul.
Marjury and her husband Jaime Barillas, who is a General Surgeon, have been married for over 24 years. Her first son Jaime Barillas is 22 years old and recently graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelors in Pre-Health and a Minor in Business Management. Her youngest son Christian Barillas is a Senior at Klein High School and has been playing soccer with the Houston Texans Development Academy team for the past three years.
Her favorite quotation is "In seeking happiness for others, you will find it in yourself." She is eager to share the Champion Reading system with students and show them just how much potential they truly have.
